BOM JESUS DA PEDRA CELEBRATIONS IN VILA FRANCA

In Vila Franca, on the island of São Miguel, these festivals are the occasion for folkloric demonstrations. Although it's not known exactly when they began, as they haven't always taken place with the same regularity, they are still held at the Santa Casa da Misericórdia. The week-long festivities include religious celebrations, masses and Sunday street processions, as well as sports competitions, cultural events and concerts.
