About a hundred kilometers from Miami, you are in Key Largo, gateway to the Florida Keys and diving capital of the world. It is the longest island of the Keys (30 miles), which is why the Spaniards named it Cayo Largo. However, you will not really have the feeling to be on an island because the sea front is not always in the immediate vicinity, but already the diving equipment rental companies or the water sportsproviders are waiting for you. Key Largo is home to two of the most important natural reserves for diving, including the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park where you can snorkel in clear, shallow waters.
