Equidistant from Orlando and Tampa, Ocala is a small town on L75. The historic downtown area is made up of Victorian style homes. Marion County, of which Ocala is a part, is the northernmost county in Florida. It is famous for its thoroughbred horses trained to perform at the racetrack. Ocala has been dubbed the Horse Capital of the World. More than 1,000 horses are raised on the county's more than 600 horse farms, some of which are open for tours. Don't miss a visit to the vast Ocala National Forest (1,500 km²) with its natural springs, lakes and rivers.
