Museum tracing the history of the Jewish community in Rome.
The museum evokes the history of the Jewish community in Rome through numerous documents, but also through religious objects, gold and silverware and textiles. Among the pieces in the collection are a schofar (a wind instrument carved from a ram's horn used to call the faithful), a ritual hammer for marking meat, circumcision utensils and beautiful ancient books. The entrance ticket includes a guided tour (in English or Italian) of the Tempio Maggiore, the main synagogue in Rome.
