In early March, when Italy entered the containment phase to combat the spread of VIDOC-19, it had to close all tourist venues. This included the busy St. Peter's Basilica, as the Vatican decided to follow the measures put in place by the Italian government. A cleaning team has disinfected the entire building so that it can once again receive visitors, much to the delight of the faithful. It should be noted that the religious celebrations will not be able to accommodate more than 200 visitors for the time being, on the recommendation of the Italian Ministry of the Interior. St. Peter's Square is also open to the public. More information on the RFI website
