Known for its apple festival, Ponta do Pargo is located at the western tip of Madeira. It is necessary to follow without hesitation the small asphalt road that goes down to the lighthouse (follow the sign "Farol"), 312 m of altitude, to discover this grandiose panorama! At an altitude of almost 400 m, the small town dominates the cliff. A low wall to be crossed, and one finds oneself on a small advance overhanging the sea. Before the opening of a golf course (coupled with a resort) imagined by the British champion Nick Faldo, it is still the great calm. The sea is blue and transparent, and the seagulls deploy subtle arabesques without flapping their wings.
