Coming to Arco da Calheta, it is especially the occasion to discover, in the village, the small chapel of Our Lady of Sorrows. Built in the 16th century (but renovated in the 20th century), it stands out for its Moorish porch and ceiling, very singular. Its longitudinal plan is built in the Manueline style. The altar of the chapel was remodeled at the end of the 18th century. It also houses a painting by the artist Nicolau Ferreira dated 1791.
