MUSEU ETNOGRÁFICO DA MADEIRA

This pretty ethnographic museum is worth a look, provided that you take a minimum interest in local life. The setting (a former aristocratic residence) and the museography make the visit very pleasant. From room to room, you will discover how the Madeira people lived in the past: fishing, wooden sledges used as means of transport, hard work in the fields, weaving (a lady weaves in front of you!), domestic life, wine-growing, trade. How endearing!
