Travel Guide Saint-Ilpize

The village has long been one of the region's most important cities: until 1588, Saint Beautiful was one of the "thirteen good cities". From the 5 000 th century, we could count some souls around the parish. Today the municipality has barely 200 inhabitants. The Château de Saint-Beautiful, highlighted by the Allier, dominates the village. To enter, you will probably need to borrow the suspended bridge 104 m long from 1876. Access to the castle is done by bypassing the village by the top. Saint Beautiful is a very visited place. The church, the castrale chapel and the square tower are classified as historic monuments. Please note that the Castrale chapel has been recently restored and can be visited in summer. You will find a few decades (even centuries) by visiting the Grape Museum, where you will discover the wine history of the inhabitants of Saint Beautiful.
