At the site of the old convent of Merveilles and the Palace of Monteleón is this place. Located in the heart of the Malasaña district, it recalls the bloody repression of the Madrid uprising of 2 May 1808 against the French army. One can always observe an arc of the old palace while an ark opens the entrance of the square. Today, this place is one of the favourites of the Madrid with its cafés and terraces.
