Airy and uncluttered decoration, bright rooms and a welcome in French, a real invitation to relax. We like it!

Here's one of our favorites! The Siete Islas, which welcomes you in a large, uncluttered lobby with jazzy music, is a real invitation to relax. The owners, originally from the Canary Islands, wanted to create an atypical atmosphere in the heart of Madrid, in the common areas as well as in each of the 79 bright rooms and the brand-new gym. A very successful gamble, especially if you opt for the suite with terrace and open-air shower on the top floor facing Gran Vía! And, to make matters worse, the breakfast is very good.

Wij verbleven in maart van donderdag tot zondag. Het hotel ligt op een uitstekende locatie om de stad te verkennen. Centraal, dichtbij de Gran Via en tussen Puerta Sol en de wijk Chueca. Ondanks de nabijheid van Gran Via hebben wij geen storende geluidshinder ondervonden (op verdieping 4). Het personeel was vriendelijk en behulpzaam door bvb. onze tassen gratis te bewaren achter slot en grendel. Een minpuntje voor ons was de afwezigheid van een (inloop)douche. Er is wel een bad met douchekop. De kamer zelf was net, ruim en modern. Een kleine attentie (welkomstdrankje of water op de kamer) samen met een douche zou het 5 sterren maken voor ons. Maar, we keren met plezier terug!

Las habitaciones son excelentes, la locación es perfecta. Lo único la atención es lenta y no muy buena por parte de la recepción. El recepcionista calvo muy muy mala onda. Imprime solo (y solamente si) se lo envía en mail en PDF. Luego de tener que explicarle a mi madre de 60 años lo que es un PDF, pude enviarlo. Imprimió un boarding pass y una confirmación de viaje en doble hoja. Solución paupérrima (obviamente toda esta situación lentísima y con mala cara).

Más allá de eso, como dije, la habitación muy buena y la locación ideal. Volveré seguramente, esta vez con mis archivos para imprimir en PDF!

Stayed here for 1 night. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and efficient. The room was spotlessly clean. The location was perfect, within walking distance of everything we wanted to see and do. Would highly recommend this hotel.
