A pretty family resort surrounded by high cliffs. In many ways, Xlendi, pronounced chlendi, differs from its Nordic counterpart Malsaforn. It must be said that its location in a narrow valley has helped to limit untimely construction. And that it retains the spirit of a small fishing village that develops quietly, keeping its simplicity. The statue of St. Andrew, patron saint of fishermen, still guards the waterfront and it is the tower built by the Knights in 1658 that dominates the bay. It is a good starting point for walks to the surrounding cliffs, with beautiful landscapes.
