This village has become a long urban and residential extension south of Paola and it is one of the modern urbanisations that have developed in Malta in recent years until today it has a population of over 3,000 inhabitants. It owes its name to a nearby 16th century chapel. Tourists have long been unaware of this place which, it is true, until recently had very few points of interest.
