Nestled in the Doulon valley, close to the forest, the hotel is located in the heart of Livradois Forez Park, between Brioude and La Chaise-Dieu, in the centre of the village of Saint-Didier. You will appreciate the welcome of Christian who is at the stove and Tina always in the small room care. You will find calm and relaxation. You can discover the numerous hiking paths or visit the heritage around the village. Excellent value for money.

Quelques jours de repos bien agréables .
La cuisine est bonne et soignée .Les chambres sont très bien et propres , la literie confortable .
Nous étions 6 dont une petite fille de deux ans ,l'aubergiste s'est mis en 4 pour nous faciliter la vie , nous l'en remercions.
Nous recommanderons son charmant établissement.

lorsque nous arrivons en face de l'auberge, le charme agit immédiatement, nous sommes accueillis par les propriétaires avec attention, immédiatement le patron nous met à l'aise, nous avons diner, et pris le petit déjeuner, tout était frais bon et copieux, merci à denis le patron, qui n'est pas avare de discussion fort intéressante de ses expériences passées !!! super adresse si vous descendez dans le sud, faite un détour en revanche réservez en amont car c'est tellement bien que c'est vite complet!!!

Merci à vous pour votre spontanéité et votre commentaire. Je ne suis qu'un aubergiste qui aime son métier et qui souhaite que le concept de la physolofie de l'auberge tel que je l'ai connue il y a quelques années et des poussières continue persiste et dure. We were not to be disappointed! The locals were almost finishing their meals and we wondered were we too late. Denis and his wife made sure we were aware of their warmth and welcome. Nothing appeared to trouble this wonderful full of fun family. Lacking a mastery of the language we enjoyed sorting out our requirements thanks to Google translate! Local wine soon appeared along with the menu, it was Moules for me and steak for my wife. All was first class and topped off with home made tarte tatin.
It was not only a delightful meal but an occasion to savour. I feel the attitude of the proprietor ( who took on the business a week or two before covid) can best be explained when in answer to my question stated “ we will serve food to order morning, noon or night. The Auberge du Doulon is most certainly to be highly recommended, off the beaten track but not to be missed.
