This picturesque fishermen's refuge is located near the ruins of a Venetian tower. Arthur Rimbaud worked here as foreman of a stone quarry in 1879. There's a little-frequented beach, a few houses, an old chapel, two taverns and boats at the entrance to the small estuary of the Liopetri river, which gives the hamlet its name.
