Fallen Leaf Lake is a very pretty mountain lake located in El Dorado County, about a mile southwest of Lake Tahoe.
Fallen Leaf Lake is a beautiful mountain lake located in El Dorado County, near the California/Nevada state line, about a mile southwest of Lake Tahoe. The lake was created by at least two glaciers that moved north into the Glen Valley. If the glacier had continued instead of stopped, Fallen Leaf Lake would be a bay in Lake Tahoe, similar to nearby Emerald Bay. Beautiful wooden houses line the lake, which has a pier. Kayaking and motor boating are available.

Lac très reposant
A l'écart du lac Tahoe, ce lac est peu fréquenté. Baignade fraîche mais possible (en été). Un bol d'air, paysage très reposant.
