Californians love this employee-owned store that also serves as a bakery: baguettes, focaccia, sunflower seed bread, olive bread, and warm cheese, onion and curry bread. At 1512 Shattuck Avenue, it's the pizzeria: they are all vegetarian and the dough and sauce are prepared daily. The pizzas on the menu change every day... Another strong point, live music groups regularly perform there.

With its Aztec decor and Latino ambiance, the restaurant uses fresh and organic products from a farm in Sonoma. Another restaurant of the same name, Tlaloc, is located in San Francisco.

This California-based Thai cuisine brand has several restaurants in the state (including one in San Francisco). The Berkeley address is particularly elegant, with Asian-design furniture focusing on wood.
