CALIFORNIA ACADEMY OF SCIENCE
Petit Futé's opinion on CALIFORNIA ACADEMY OF SCIENCE

The California Academy of Sciences has four main sections: Morrison Planetarium (a dôme cinema like the Géode of Paris or the Futuroscope), the Steinhart Aquarium (giant basins hosting over 900 underwater species), the Kimball Natural History Museum (with more real than nature reconstructions) and Osher Rainforest (a tropical greenhouse reproducing ecosystems in three distinct regions: Borneo, Madagascar and Costa Rica). Finally, after so much knowledge, it's time to go to the earthquake simulator. Yes, we must remember that San Francisco remains traumatized by the 1906 earthquake. An amazing experience.
A restaurant offers different cuisines in the world just next to the souvenir store while another boutique is more specialized in educational games for children.
On Thursday evenings, the museum offers a night with DJ, music and bars. It is very secluded because all the attractions remain open and you can even taste the beer produced with plants of the plant roof.
