Pier 39 hosts one of the city's largest 4th of July celebrations. It features live music, a barbecue and plenty of family entertainment and activities. Special exhibits and concerts run throughout the day of Independence Day, including a free concert at the water park, until the fireworks start around 9:30 p.m. Admission is free, but it's important to arrive early so you can get a seat.
