Petit Futé's opinion on RAKIURA MUSEUM
This visit is interesting to capture the natural and human history of the island through its first Maori occupiers, and the arrival and installation of Europeans with their new activities. In 2016, the establishment seeks to raise funds to expand and develop, with its premises becoming too small for its collections.

Open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 1.30pm and Sunday from noon to 2pm. In winter, limited schedules. $2 per person.

Il ne vous en coûtera que 4 petit dollars pour visiter ce tout petit musée qui retrace l'histoire de l’île. Charmant, mignon et une dame très sympathique pour répondre a toutes vos questions. Situe en contre bas de l’église anglicane cachée sous les arbres. Une énorme encre de bateau centenaire est exposée dans le jardinet en face du musée. Le musée est également la mairie de l’île.
