CARDRONA HOTEL

Located 25 km from Wanaka on the famous Crown Range Road, the rooms are tastefully decorated in an old-world rustic style that will easily take you back to the days of the gold miners and early settlers. There is a restaurant and bar adjacent to the hotel. Cade and James are the proud guests of one of the oldest hotels in the country (opened in 1863). The prosperous settlement of Cardrona still retains some traces of the past as evidenced by the front of the hotel. Today, it is not miners but skiers who flock to the hotel for après-ski snacks.
