This small tourist office offers good documentation on Akaroa and the Banks Peninsula. Potential welcome in French please! Located 75 kilometers from Christchurch, the most French-speaking city of the country attracts all its compatriots at the end of the Banks Peninsula. A stop at the I-Site can be interesting to learn about the events of the town (market, meals, party). Located in the middle of an ancient volcano, the French colony is surrounded by beautiful bays. You will need at least two days to enjoy this area.

Décevant et inutile
Ce i-site nous a déçu, car c'est plus une boutique et une Poste qu'un centre d'informations pour touriste. La dame nous indique de consulter les cartes affichées au mur pour connaitre les randonnées. Donc autant d'information déjà trouvées sur internet. Toutes les cartes étaient payantes. 15 minutes plus tard, au départ de la randonnée, ces mêmes cartes étaient en libre service, gratuitement !
