Fifteen kilometers north of Motueka, this small fruit-growing town is just a stone's throw from Abel Tasman National Park, which is a favorite playground for nature lovers. With its emerald coves and golden beaches, the place is very popular with kayakers, hikers and mountain bikers. It is not impossible to see a waka sailing (Maori canoe). Rather quiet place, the sunsets are worth the detour. It is mostly to take a water cab or rent a sea kayak that you will go there. Unless you prefer to go to Marahau, where the great walk Abel Tasman Track starts.
