Located just outside the city center, Mount Victoria is one of Wellington's must-sees. Very popular with the locals, it's a place where you'll come across walkers, runners and mountain bikers (watch out, they go fast downhill!) It was here that Peter Jackson filmed the very first shots of his Lord of the Rings in 1999! Numerous trails criss-cross the hill and you'll often come across tūī, kākā or piwakawaka. The summit rises to 196 m, and the view from the viewing platform is unquestionably one of the best in the city.

Très belle vue sur toute la ville ! 10min en voiture pour rejoindre le parking en haut. A faire !

Très jolie point de vu
Jolie balade dans la forêt (scène du Seigneur des Anneaux) puis on arrive au sommet où la vue sur la ville des deux cotés est magnifique !

Très joli panorama sur la ville et la baie. Endroit idéal pour profiter du coucher de soleil. La montée à pied n'est cependant pas forcément des plus intéressantes. Si vous êtes en voiture il y a un petit parking au sommet.

After a steep climb the pedestrian panoramic view 180 on the entire city is magnificent. For those less brave or if the weather is lacking to you can go there by car. A lot of wind. The districts visits during the ascent are very picturesque.
