Iconic of Wellington, the cable car is a small funicular railway linking Lambton Quay to one of the entrances to the Botanic Gardens on Upland Road. It's part of the city's public transport fleet, and undeniably its most charming vehicle! It's also the quickest way to the top of the hill (5 minutes) and is used daily by many Wellingtonians. The view of the city from the terminus is unmissable, and the small museum dedicated to its history is well worth a visit!

Une activité sympa sans être incontournable. Vous pouvez choisir de monter avec le cable car et de redescendre à pied par le jardin botanique qui offre une promenade agréable. Le café au sommet du cable car offre une superbe vue sur Wellington et les prix sont raisonnables.

Si vous avez le temps faites le, c'est atypique et il y a une belle vue une fois en haut, un petit musée sur le cable car,vous pourrez également profiter des jardins si vous descendez à pieds .
