This campsite is a low-cost option for staying at Whakapapa Village, right in the heart of the park and a stone's throw from the trailheads. You can pitch your tent here for a very reasonable price, or book a bed in the backpackers section of the lodge (dormitories with 4, 6 or 8 beds). Private cabins can be booked for up to 6 people. Private cabins have their own bathroom and small fully-equipped kitchen. If you're staying in a tent or dormitory, a large kitchen and dining room are at your disposal.

Les sanitaires sont vraiment très propres et l’espace pour chaque camping-car est délimité par des arbres. Le camping est installé au-dessus d’une cascade. Le camping est situé en face du I-site du coin et propose des navettes pour aller relever le défi de l’Alpine Crossing! Tout est donc prêt pour une bonne nuit réparatrice avant d’attaquer les fameux 19,4 km de montagne... Par contre, n’oubliez pas le chauffage car nous sommes en montagne et il fait froid!
