BALLOONS OVER WAIKATO

For a week, usually in mid-March or early April, hot air balloons of all shapes and colors (some of them really unusual!) decorate the Waikato sky. This is one of the most popular outdoor festivals in the country. Of course, this type of event depends on the weather, and, as you will often hear, the weather in New Zealand is rather unpredictable. It is therefore useful to plan several days on the spot if you want to put all the chances on your side and be sure not to miss it.
