Peace and quiet are the order of the day at Great Barrier Lodge, a building founded in the twenties (in 1922) surrounded by bush and with beautiful views of the harbor. Erica and Archie are good hosts and offer three studios, two suites and two cottages to their guests. Each accommodation is en-suite and guests can also enjoy the communal lounge and barbecue. Internet access is free and unlimited. Located on the edge of Whangaparapara Harbor, the lodge has a dock for kayaks and fishing boats.
