The train serves the cities of Hamilton, National Park, Palmerston North and Wellington. Travel to Wellington lasts a Day. You can also combine train and ferry with the Interislander of Wellington between the northern and southern islands. The train makes a half hour break for lunch and stretch your legs. A catering service is also available on board. Each train is equipped with an open platform and a wagon with large windows to enjoy the landscape along the route.

Nous sommes partis d'Auckland à 7 h du matin, direction Wellington. Agréable pour certaines vues et grâce au wagon panoramique. Personnel très agréable mais le matériel prévu pour écouter les commentaires sur les endroits traversés ne fonctionnait pas certainement du fait de sa vétusté ce qui est dommage étant donné le prix du trajet.

J'ai fait le trajet Wellington - Auckland, train avec fenêtres panoramiques. Train très confortable. Personnel à notre écoute et très compétent. La plateforme ouverte pour prendre des photos très bonne idée.
Nous traversons toute l'île du Nord. De très beaux paysages. La durée du voyage environ 11 heures, mais on ne voit pas le temps passer
