For those with time on their hands, a detour to Lac Kabo, near the Tépi plantation and surrounded by thick forest, can be a pleasant stopover. On the road to Goré, turn left after about 8 km. After 25 km of track, a gate marks the entrance to the plantation. The lake is close by, at the end of a track to the right. Further on, the track enters the plantation, the territory of the Majenger tribe, an ethnic group of the Nilo-Saharan family. Living as itinerant farmers in the region's vast forests, the Majengers also hunt, fish, gather and beekeep, but do not raise livestock.
