If this cave (on the eponymous name of a main church in the north Lalibela group) is less spectacular than Genet Mariam, it can be the subject of an additional walk of a few hours. Here you will find a church built on the bottom of a large cave dominated by a rock. In stone and wood, it is built according to the axoumite tradition. According to local custom, it was constructed by three virgins during the reign of Gebre Meskel towards the Year 500. She has amazing geometric and figurative motifs, including hunting scenes with a cyclops lion.
