Travel Guide Zelenogradsk (Зеленоградск)

This seaside resort, 30 km north of Kaliningrad, was already popular in the th century. Since the end of the Soviet period, Zelenogradsk has struggled to rediscover the splendour of the Germanic era where it was still called Cranz. The buildings replaced the old wooden houses which made all its charm. even the seashore has been denatured. The main street, from east to west, is the Oulitsa Lenina. Everything is concentrated here: station, post, telephones, market and shops. A Lenin statue can be seen in the square on the Lenina Lenina and another at the entrance to the sanatorium. To walk on the seafront (naberejnaya), cross the Lenina Oulitsa and take a street north.
