Museum dedicated to bobbin lace, with a Langeado specialty: black lace.
This museum showcases the art of bobbin lace-making, in which Langeac is particularly renowned for its speciality of black lace. As you wander from floor to floor, you'll discover the secrets of volcanology and mineralogy in the Haut-Allier region, as well as the workings of the mine, and the art of beading and lacemaking in a museum-workshop open all year round. Admire the model of theHermione, with her beautiful lace sails, or that of the Langeac bridge. Lace workshops are offered every Wednesday from 2 to 4.30pm.
