Sumptuous aristocratic castle beautifully renovated with English gardens and a labyrinth

Magnificently renovated, a jewel of Sicily, this sumptuous aristocratic castle built by Baron de Serri in the 17th century is a testimony to the Cheetah era. Two wings and circular crenellated towers were added to the square tower in the 19th century, when it was converted into a residence of 2,500 m² and 122 rooms: bedrooms, salons (of the Coat of Arms, the Ladies, the Baron, the Ice...), music rooms, billiard rooms, reading rooms, libraries... Works of art are legion. The English gardens are adorned with statues, water fountains and a maze.

I suggest to visit the castle in the second half of the afternoon, when the declining sun makes the color of the stone even more beautiful. The caste has more that 120 rooms, of which "only" about 20 are visible and have original furniture and tapestry. The huge park that surrounds the castle is really beautiful, contains a stone labyrinth and a magnificent , old ficus tree, whose leaves were accepted as postcards on honor of the master of the place.
