Built in the 1900s during the economic heyday (sulphur trade and flourishing fishing activities), these bourgeois houses with their special architecture dominate the Mollarella valley. Villas and carpeted palaces have grown up in the magnificent hills. Thick stone ramparts and warheads dominate their architecture. The Sapio-Rumbolo villa of King Filippo (today a restaurant on the seaside) is the best example of the Liberty style that can be seen in this district of Licata (where we recommend a hotel).
