It is the closest island to the coast of Trapani, 4 km north of Favignana. And yet, it is much less frequented. It must be said that it is a confetti in the sea: 5 km2, imagine! It has earned the nickname of "the pocket island without cars"! Made up of limestone rocks, its white rock reliefs are very pretty, just like its turquoise waters, illuminated by its white sand. And because of this geological nature, it is pierced with many caves. There is a charming village of the same name with a small fishing port. Prehistoric sites have been discovered on the island. The most important is the Genovese cave, whose walls are covered with cave paintings with animal representations dating back to the Paleolithic and Neolithic. Here we like the more authentic and less touristy atmosphere of Favignana. An idyllic postcard setting out of time where it is good to take an untimed break. There is only one hotel-restaurant on the island.
