Coworking area, solidarity restaurant at reasonable prices: Moltivolti wants to create social links since 2014. Here all walks of life come together for a meal, a drink, an exhibition or a conference. Moltivolti is a place of diversity and integration, and employs refugees, some from Afghanistan, others from West Africa. The restaurant and bar are used to finance projects. Another Moltivolti is now in Kalsa.

This good address offers "market cuisine" in the heart of an authentic Sicilian market, that of Ballaro. All the more so as the district does not abound in good tables, too narrow and labyrinthine. Here, the products are fresher than nature, Sicilian, from the slow food circuit. But grandmothers' recipes have been modernized. Large choice of vegetarian, celiac, babies and children (games on site). Theosteria is also enoteca, between 15th century walls and columns, the setting is magnificent, and the range of wines is very wide.

An address made especially for lovers of good pizza. Its success is such that many Palermitans don't hesitate to line up for dinner. The pizzas, served generously, are really delicious and one understands the craze for the place. The thin dough is soft and crunchy at the same time, the mozzarella and the cold cuts are Sicilian. In addition to the perfect cooking, the service and above all the owner's welcome are very pleasant. We also like the white tables and colourful chairs of the restaurant.

In a simple and sober setting (varnished panelling on the walls and tablecloths with plasticized tiles), you can meet a clientele of regulars, attracted by low prices and the quality Sicilian popular cuisine as found in the pots of the island's mammals. The menu is rich in seafood products. You can also eat a very good dish of Sardinian pasta con (with sardines) or small sardine paupiettes with sweet and sour sauce(polpette di sarde in agrodolce) for a few euros. The address is almost a hundred years old and the service is cordial. Picturesque.

Nice osteria where good Sicilian dishes are served around fish, but also panelle, arancini, local antipasti. Lots of fried fish à la carte, don't miss the frittura mista di pesce : a mix of fried prawns, squid and other fried octopus, a delight! The pasta with squid ink, sardines or pesto and shrimps is also worth the fork. Recipes of authentic accuracy, with a strong taste. The terrace is appreciable but the service is a little long. Come early because the restaurant is very busy.

A gastronomic institution of the brothers Andrea and Alberto Rizzo, where the dishes are particularly refined. A true delight for gourmets, to whom we can only recommend the vanilla fried lobster on a pine nut sauce with candied ginger and red pepper mousse . For the record, scenes of the Cheetah were filmed next to the restaurant. A very top-of-the-range table, where the addition is salty. There is also a dizzying wine list, with many Sicilian wines. The setting is intimate, under stone vaults.

A classy table, with elegant white tablecloths and dishes with a refined aesthetic, without being stilted in the heart of the Kalsa. The plates are spectacular. Typical Sicilian cuisine revisited, to discover the Palermo flavours in particular, raw or cooked. Fish fillet in sweet and sour honey sauce with red onions, raisins and dried apricots, or a carpaccio of scottona, a meat from a heifer of the best Italian breed, renowned for its tenderness, marinated in lemon-lime with mushrooms and plums.

This small restaurant with its comfortable and elegant chairs, hanging green plants, wall-mounted enoteca and pretty crockery is chic. Yet the prices are reasonable, so don't deprive yourself! The octopus carpaccio was divine, as was the Trapani style busiate pasta, handmade with nuts, Sicilian pesto and red shrimp. The flavours are very well balanced. For dessert the Sicilian cannoli and cassate are particularly good.

Better known as "Dal dottore" (at the doctor's), this restaurant is a landmark for Palermitans who have been coming here for over 120 years to enjoy a healing meal. During the smallpox epidemic of 1910-11, it was broth (brodo) that warmed hearts, now it is fish starters and primi of all kinds that gourmets come here to order, not forgetting meat. A typical Sicilian restaurant where fish and seafood - especially sea bass and prawns - are excellent. A good dinner guaranteed!

Just a stone's throw from the Teatro Politeama and (another more recent reference!) opposite the new Disney department store in Palermo, this address is a historic institution. The house exists since 1826! It is certainly the best place to taste the tastiest cuties in Palermo. And all the other Sicilian specialties to eat on the go: arancini, krapfen (fritters), timballi (stewed pasta timbale)... Also a wide selection of sodas and traditional drinks made in Sicily. A stopover is a must during a stay in Palermo.

A very good surprise that this small restaurant located in a former palace and not far from the lively Piazza Ballarò. Held by siblings in 3: Nicolas speaks French while Julia provides the service of Chef Diego. The Arancine are excellent, like ravioli to shrimps. All accompanied by a good glass of Sicilian wine will make your happiness sure.

This restaurant, run by the three Lentini brothers, promises a convivial moment thanks to the outstanding reception of the customers, and a pleasant gastronomic stopover. On the menu you will find typical dishes but concocted with very noble ingredients. For example: fish arancini with saffron cream as a starter, a trio of fish and shellfish (including red shrimps from Mazzara) put in a jar to sublimate all the flavours and smells of the ingredients - the house speciality -, and a lemon mousse with strawberry sauce to top it all off.

Taste the antipasti, very famous in this restaurant (but only on the menu), whose compositions are refined. The house offers almost exclusively delicious grilled fish dishes but also original seafood pasta such as fettuccine with citron, poutargue and prawns. Superb terrace in summer, quite lively. Efficient and French-speaking service. The Sicilian wine list is well stocked and of high quality. From the starter to the dessert, a tasty cuisine with fresh products. A very good address.

This bar-restaurant is located in an alleyway between via Roma and via Maqueda. The welcome is warm and the cuisine is of high quality. Not to be missed for a thrifty lunch in the historic centre. The Bocconcini Belpaese, bacon rolled on a ball of melting mozzarella, are devilish. The tagliatelle of the house, with lobster bisque and a stracciatella hat, are original and delicious. All this for a more than reasonable addition. Do not hesitate to ask for a table on the pleasant terrace.
