At 7 km from Beykoz, we arrive at the village of Akbaba, surrounded by numerous gigantic and massive hundred-year-old trees. A mineral water(Haznedar Memba Suyu) is extracted in the vicinity. The name of this village comes from a saint called Akbaba. He rests in a small mosque(Canfeda Hatun Camii) which is worth a visit. What is done a lot is to picnic in the folk restaurants: you can bring your own meat or you buy it on the spot, and you rent the equipment to prepare and cook it. You can also have a kebap there. Gözleme are sold by women in the park who also offer köfte.
