It was the location of the famous film Fresa y Chocolate, directed in 1993 by the Cuban director Gutierrez Alea, and since 1996 it has been one of the best paladaresin the city, located on the third floor of this beautiful, old palace with a slightly surreal atmosphere. Don't miss the many photos of celebrities who have dined there: Mick Jagger, Madonna and Sting... On the plate, nuevo cuban at : a traditional Cuban cuisine"exoticized" by a touch of new French, Spanish, Mexican cuisine... Unique !

Une ambiance hors pair dans ce restaurant, juste magique. Ce n’est pas sans raison qu’on dit que c’est le meilleur endroit à manger dans la Havane! Cependant les prix sont excessifs par rapport aux autres paladars dans la ville. On recommande de réserver en avance ; surtout si vous voulez y manger le soir. Il n’y avait plus de Ropa Vieja, le plat phare de Cuba, mais ce qu’on a commandé c’était très bon – poulet au miel et la langouste.

Le restaurant est un paladar donc le décor est reste intact ou presque depuis le tournage du film cubain Fresa y chocolate. On imagine la splendeur de ce palace en lente décrépitude… mais une fois pénétré, à l’intérieur, on découvre un mélange entre vieux et nouveau si particulier à Cuba et à La Havana. Venez pour le midi, ou la lumière y est magique. La bouffe est raisonnable et succulente, d’inspiration internationale et cubaine. Le service est impeccable.
