Island in the northeast of the Bronx with imposing Victorian style houses, art galleries and antique shops as well as a museum.
The most unlikely place in New York City! This island located in the northeast of the Bronx is a small town of 4,300 inhabitants where there are many fishermen and very good fish restaurants. The island's port is used as a parking lot for yachts for the wealthy inhabitants of Westchester (an expensive suburb of northern New York), which explains the presence of some chic establishments. There are imposing Victorian-style houses, art galleries and antique dealers. To see: the City Island Nautical Museum, which looks back at the maritime history of the place.
