The Barclays Center is the Brooklyn arena that came into being in 2012. The arena hosts the NBA team Brooklyn Nets (the rivals of the Knicks, who play at Madison Square Garden) but also the hockey team Islanders, rivals of the New York Rangers. Many concerts are also organized there, Beyoncé, MGMT and Bob Dylan are regulars. Jay-Z too, in fact the Brooklyn rapper was the first to perform on the Barclays stage a week after it opened. Until 2013, Jay-Z was also one of the shareholders of the Nets franchise.

Playing bocce in Brooklyn... and why not, after all? Industry City, a neighborhood that has undergone a lengthy redevelopment project and now boasts many cutting-edge restaurants and shops, is home to Carreau Club. With four bocce courts, a stand that serves drinks and snacks, and a few outdoor tables, it's a particularly pleasant place to be on a sunny summer afternoon. On Monday and Tuesday evenings, the courts are reserved for league players. This is serious stuff!

If you are nostalgic for the rollerskate evenings of the disco years, this is the place to come and surround yourself. During the sunny days, parties with DJs are organized every Friday, with themes sometimes kitschy as well: Saturday Night Fever, Britney Spears, David Bowie, hip-hop from the 1990s.... If you come in disguise, you can take part in the contest for the best costume. Roller skate rental is included in the price, but you can bring your own pair. In winter, the track is transformed into an ice rink.
