CINCO DE MAYO

On May 5, New York adorns itself with red and green for Cinco de Mayo, who is celebrating a Mexican victory over French forces. This day, a symbol of Mexico's freedom and sovereignty, is celebrated in the United States, where the country's Mexican heritage is celebrated. Many parades are held in Manhattan (most often on Fifth Avenue) and Brooklyn. Dances in traditional costumes, music, Mexican flags and sombreros... And in the city's Mexican restaurants, we do business on tacos and margaritas!
