To spend an evening at the Cellar Dog - formerly Fat Cat - is to take the pulse of New York! Imagine, the bar is a huge game room in the basement with ping-pong tables, billiards, shuffleboard, chess or checkers, all in an incredible jazzy atmosphere. The city's greatest jazz musicians, rather than going to the Blue Note, prefer the basement to the subdued light of the Cellar Dog, for the diversity of its audience, and the relative absence of tourists. Concerts start around 10pm and rarely end before 2am.

Le Fat Cat, c'est l'assurance de passer une excellente soirée à NYC. Concert presque privé à 3$ (avec de grands noms de la soul music), petite bière dans les canapés et pour finir, une petite partie de ping pong! Un très bon souvenir.
The fat Cat... surely one of my best evenings in New York. For some dollars, reached by the jazzy atmosphere, comfortably seated in an old sofa to admire the group, chat or play billiards, chess and other various games. A little offbeat atmosphere is resolutely super nice...
Just 3$, we have to spend an evening memorable. Local beers, sofas, small concert and ping pong make this place a stopover not be missed...
The fat cat is really a strange and very nice place. Artists perform here live on a very " atmosphere; jazzy" all the evening... The setting is quite relaxes, why not let yourself go to enjoy a good beer in the large sofas, play a game of table tennis or a game of billiards.
