ZINC BAR

Club
5/5
1 review

Located at the corner of NoHo, SoHo and the West Village, the Zinc Bar is a nice little club in the basement: Latin music, reggae, but especially world music with an African tendency, samba and jazzy. The place owes its name to the long zinc bar it houses! The glasses are well dosed, the show is rhythmic, the atmosphere is warm, in short a good evening, whatever the evening you go. On weekends, there are usually several concerts a night. Check the calendar on the website to make sure you don't miss any of the events.

Salsa, blues, jazz, rock... Whatever the program, people flock to the entrance of this nightclub. From Wednesday to Sunday, Café Wha's resident band plays hits from the 1970s to the 1990s. On Monday and Tuesday, two very popular special evenings take place: the Brazilian Dance Party and Tuesday Night Funk. This bar has been around for 40 years, a veteran of the New York scene that holds its own. Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan played here in their early days!

S.O.B.’S

Club

S.O.B. for Sound Of Brazil. In this club restaurant, the most important of its kind in New York, you can listen to the best of world music or alternative hip-hop. But for more than a decade, it has really been one of the most dynamic clubs with the most dynamic programming, maintaining very high quality standards whatever the genres they tackle. Go any evening, you will have a good or great evening. And the place has kept its spirit very fresh and not snobbish for a penny.

SWING 46

Club

In this club, we only dance swing and we dance it all night long. Every evening, a big band of swing and jump blues from the 1940s, dressed for the occasion, hosts the evening. To learn the basic steps, all you have to do is show up at 9:15 p.m. every night. Professionals or beginners, young and old, everyone will be able to put their skills into practice. The bands that play are really excellent and the atmosphere is very friendly. Evening wear is not required, but avoid jeans and sneakers.

LAVO

Club

Opened with great fanfare in 2010, Lavo has established itself as a Midtown staple (which lacked such venues). Ultra-glamorous, it has quickly become one of the hottest clubs in this part of the city, which is not known for its trendy establishments. The best DJs in the country and in the world come to play in this trendy and slightly blinged-out nightclub. The place is also known for hosting a classy Italian restaurant on the ground floor. Saint-Tropez atmosphere guaranteed!

THE BOX

Club

One of the most fashionable clubs in New York. It is necessary to show white paw to enter this very trendy box; sheltered in an old factory refurbished in the theatre style. The candlesticks and mezzanine give this club a certain look. Anyway, whether you are seduced by the decoration or not, this is the place to dance! Performances take place every night, some of them quite daring, we don't hide it from you: burlesque shows, dancers who strip off... It's simple, the place advises stuck people to stay home!

LE BAIN

Club

One of the most beautiful views of New York City, on the 18th floor of the Standard Hotel. Nightclub and bar, Le Bain is one of New Yorkers' favorite addresses. Garden deckchairs, fake lawn, waitresses dressed all in white, whirlpool bath, drinks served in transparent plastic cups, everything is done to remind you of the beach, the holidays... In addition to a bar, the Bain is also a nightclub where the biggest names of the night perform. Be careful, depending on the evenings, access is sometimes very difficult.

MARQUEE

Club

A nightclub on two floors which welcomes the biggest DJs and names of the electro scene in a rather intimate atmosphere (we sometimes lack space to dance). Steve Aoki, Benny Benassi, Swedish House Mafia regularly play at the Marquee. It's better to book your tickets in advance on the website because it's cheaper. As often in this kind of places, alcoholic drinks are overpriced. Have a drink elsewhere and then come to the Marquee for the atmosphere and the music. Dress code: chic and trendy, like the clientele.

This multi-storey establishment opened its doors in 2002 and has been stirring up crowds ever since. On Saturday evening, the Dance Marathon became an institution in the city, gathering the wildest wildlife in New York, on the dark dance floor. THE BOWERY ELECTRIC

Club

A huge 200m2 bar hosts some of the city's best DJs. Whether you go during the week or at the weekend, you're sure to dance. Unlike a nightclub, drinks are much more reasonably priced, especially thanks to happy hour every day until 8pm. The atmosphere is also much more relaxed than a nightclub, and there's no chance of being turned away! Every weekend, the "Electric Feel Dance Party" lets you dance to the greatest hits of the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s.

Rumpus Room

Club €€

Located in the building that has long housed the Lower East Side's clubbing mecca, the Sapphire Lounge, this nightclub offers a very nice eclectic and trendy decor. The entrance is affordable (the drinks a little less) and the club welcomes a rather young population, whose average age does not exceed 25 years. On Saturday nights, there are often themed events or parties: 90s or 2000s, disco nights, etc. Come dressed up! The rest of the time, the dancefloor is packed with the latest pop and hip hop music.
