Read moreThe reference store for photo equipment (with used radius), electronics, audio and computer equipment. An excellent address for professionals and tourists. Prices are interesting and the choice enormously wide. As you will see, the store is kept exclusively by very sympathetic Orthodox Jews, and it is absolutely all! B & H advisors are knowledgeable and will help you in your choices.

FOREVER 21
Read moreThis ready-to-wear chain created in Los Angeles in 1984 offers a wide selection of brands at desirable prices, as the clothes on the shelves are often taken from previous years' collections. As for the Forever 21 line, it distinguishes itself by a very urban style that emphasizes prints and bright colors. There is little clothing for men but a large selection of shoes at unbeatable prices for them. A department store that is reminiscent of H&M, and that will appeal especially to teenage girls.
TIFFANY & CO.
Read moreA mythical store immortalized forever on the canvas by the wonderful Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany's (Diamonds on the Sofa, 1961). This diamond empire is a legend in New York; an average of three thousand people a day (25,000 at Christmas) come to admire its window. Tiffany has been in existence since 1837, but the current establishment dates back to 1940. Apart from a few small jewels, Tiffany remains out of reach of the common purses, but one can always dream about rings at 800 000 US$ or more "accessible" jewels from 60 000 to 70 000 US$.

There are also very nice maps, calendars, custom calendars, small books and in some branches a specialized music radius (CD and books).
CHISHOLM LARSSON GALLERY
Read moreChisholm Larsson Gallery is a gallery unlike any other, as it is a shop where you can buy vintage posters! Here is a good idea of souvenirs to bring back. The website is very well done and describes perfectly the collection, probably the most extensive in the Big Apple. You'll find a selection of 35,000 posters from 1890 to the present day, including over 15,000 movie posters. The collection of French posters is absolutely gigantic (there are over 7,000). You are bound to find something you like!
ABERCROMBIE & FITCH
Read moreA controversial and often criticized brand in the United States (its president, very megalomaniac, refuses that the "ugly ones" wear his clothes...) but which still appeals as much to American and European teenagers. In New York, Abercrombie has chosen a huge space with the appearance of a nightclub: subdued or even dark lights, black and minimalist decoration, top model sellers, music at full speed, and clothes highlighted as works of art. Surprising for a cool and not overpriced sportswear brand, but an obvious sign of its success.
APPLE STORE
Read moreNew Yorkers love Apple products (you'll have noticed that New Yorkers live with their iphone iphone), so there's often a lot of Apple store, a concept store with impeccable design, and glass. We're looking forward to seeing the eye, to testing the latest Apple news or simply to check out his email (free of charge) on one of the many computers available.

CENTURY 21
Read moreThe temple of declaw! In this large building facing Ground Zero, you will only find European brands at discount prices: Paul&Joe, Miu Miu, Chloé, etc. Jeans too: Seven for all Mankind, Acne.... And sports equipment and souvenirs "I Love NY" in the basement... The store is often crowded and it is not uncommon for it to be a mess, you really have to take the time to search to find the rare pearl. But given the reductions made, it is worth it. In short, a must if you are in the area!
BLOOMINGDALE’S
Read moreBloomingdale's is the fruit of a long passion between New York and fashion. With its ten floors and four-block perimeter, Bloomies can claim to be the best department store in the world. It's a far cry from the small fashion boutique created around 1870 by the Bloomingdale brothers. In the 1960s and 1970s, it was fashionable to shop here on Saturday afternoons. The tradition is still alive and well, and customers come out with their arms full of the symbolic brown bags. Women's, men's and children's fashions, household linen, furniture and interior design.
OLD NAVY
Read moreThis huge store has long been a Gap brand, before becoming an independent brand thanks to its excellent turnover. The style is more or less the same as Gap (a little more relaxed), the quality is not quite equal but remains good, and above all, the prices are much lower. Jeans are sold at reasonable prices, but it is mainly on t-shirts that we can do business. There is a department for each member of the family. So we can redo our wardrobe without ruining ourselves.
GAP
Read moreIn Manhattan, Gap shops flower almost every block, so it's difficult to miss them. Lexington is one of the largest in the chain. Everything we love in American fashion, basic, casual, cheap, is there. It's too tempting, because it's the kind of clothing you want to wear one day or just when you don't want to make the show-off. For men, women, children and even babies, cotton sweaters, rugbymen shirts, jackets of all colours, jeans of all shapes and sizes, shorts, white shirts and little gifts for everyone (caps, socks, belts, scarves). In short, a life to dress in Gap and no longer swear only by Gap.
RALPH LAUREN
Read moreIt is no longer necessary to present Ralph Lauren, emblem of the American style, or his superb private mansion dating from 1880 furnished in the English style. They are in fact two shops: the old one houses men's fashion and the one opposite, inaugurated in 2011, is dedicated to women's fashion and decoration. Surprisingly, the building looks old but it is indeed extremely recent, like the vintage clothes of Mr Ralph Lauren, perhaps. One visit to this store and you'll probably come out with a few polo shirts under your arm!
BANANA REPUBLIC
Read moreA chain and stores offering sportswear and streetwear (jackets, sweaters, pants, T-shirts, shirts, jeans...), more sophisticated and more expensive than those found at Gap, which bought Banana. The salespeople are unbeatable at helping you match your clothes. There is a great selection of rather chic clothes that can be worn to the office. The men's selection is, in our opinion, more interesting than the women's. There are several other stores in Manhattan.
BERGDORF GOODMAN
Read moreThe top of the range for an essentially female public, even if the men's department is across the street, at 745 5th Avenue. The focus is on haute couture, evening wear and jewellery. On each floor, big names in contemporary fashion: Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, Manolo Blahnik and Jimmy Choo - made famous by Sex & The City -, or Saint-Laurent, Chanel, Chloé, Valentino or Gaultier. On thefifth floor, you'll find the younger, more accessible brands. And on the top floor, a restaurant to enjoy a superb view of Central Park.
SAKS FIFTH AVENUE
Read moreOpened in 1924 between Rockefeller Center and St Patrick's Cathedral, Bloomingdale's eternal rival is one of the city's first department stores. Elegant, sober, airy, Saks was for a long time the great family market par excellence. The store follows women's fashion and organizes a series of spectacular sales, especially in January.
On the ground floor, jewellery and perfumes, but also a beauty salon. American fashion designers are on the third floor. On the sixth floor, men's department with a wide choice of shoes.
LOVE ADORNED
Read moreA shop where you would want to buy everything to redecorate your home! The objects offered here are eclectic and unique: candles, dried flower bouquets, fringed or frilly cushions, rugs and blankets with distinctive patterns, hand-blown carafes... The prices are a little higher than in other decorating stores, but the quality is there, as is the design. Love Adorned is also known for its many pieces of jewelry, vintage or new, which are displayed in a large window in the center of the store.
