Superb rooms in a value-for-money hotel and restaurant in Greenwich Village.
A small Art Deco jewel with 160 rooms in the charming and exciting Greenwich Village. The walls of the retro and comfortable rooms are lined with photographs of Hollywood artists. Ernest Hemingway and Bob Dylan resided in this facility, which opened in 1902. Meals are served in a cosy setting at the North Square Restaurant, open all day long. The excellent price-quality ratio of this popular location makes the Washington Square Hotel one of the Village's most recommendable establishments. Book well in advance.

We have been staying at the Washington Square Hotel for the last 5 years because of its location to our daughter's school. The inside of the hotel is completely dated. The mattresses are warped and uncomfortable. There are only outlets on one side of the bed. There is no fan in the bathroom. The carpet in the hall was being sprayed while we were there for what I do not know but it needs to be ripped up and removed.

Great experience!!!! As many have said, this was a great hotel. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location is great. We love the West Village and this is a great place to stay. These are NYC hotel rooms and they are typically smaller than mid-west hotel rooms so plan accordingly. That being said, we were quite comfortable.

Location! Location! Location! Plus... a sweet room and friendly staff. We wanted to stay in the Village and this hotel is the perfect spot. The room looked EXACTLY as it is on their website so there are no surprises. I appreciate this. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Of course, things could be updated a bit, but for the price and the location we were very satisfied. We had a fabulous time and would stay here again.
