17 km north of Kittilä, in the direction of Muonio, the small village of Sirkka has made the most of its environment by building Finland's largest winter sports resort on Mount Levi, the second largest in the Nordic countries. As in many other Lapland villages, a wide range of activities are organized in summer and winter, with a different program depending on the season. Reindeer farms, boat safaris, snowmobile and dog-sled excursions and midnight golf are just some of the activities on offer. And don't forget hiking, with its many marked trails. It's a gleaming, pleasant town.
