Set in a bay, the ancient Phoenician town of Sexi is now one of the most modern centers on the Costa Tropical. The town lies in the Río Verde valley, with its tropical crops adding color to the landscape. The beaches of San Cristobal and Velilla are very well equipped and less built-up than others in the area. Diving enthusiasts will find the seabed quite interesting. On the other hand, the town, a popular international resort, is not of great interest. In July, don't miss the excellent Jazz en la Costa festival in the El Majuelo park.
