Hotel built by Diego de Riano in 1527, designed to facilitate access to the convent of San Francisco
Built by Diego de Riaño in 1527, it is a beautiful building in the Plateresque style. Its "arch" (facade) was intended to facilitate access to the convent of San Francisco, which has now disappeared. After the demolition, the building was renovated under the direction of Demetrio de los Ríos and Balbino Marrón, with a new neoclassical façade. It is decorated with medallions with the statue of Hercules and Julius Caesar, the legendary founders of the city. The archives of the City Hall contain valuable works and documents.
