Practical information : Move & Laze around Sevilla
Budget & Tips
Seville boasts numerous parks and gardens where you can stroll (Maria Luisa Park, Jardines de Murillo...), walk, cycle, ride a Segway or even take a boat out on the Plaza de España. With 180 km of carrer bici, there's plenty to pedal too. Some agencies also offer bike tours of the surrounding area, or hot-air balloon flights over the city.
What's very local
This is of course an opportunity to learn flamenco. Some schools offer one-week introductions, or will be an opportunity to perfect your skills in this area. The other great pleasure, more relaxing, will be to initiate you to the charms of the Arab baths and hammams. Prices vary from one establishment to another, especially if the bathing circuit is accompanied by massages. Be sure to specify the services to which the entrance fee entitles you. In terms of sports, soccer is also a big part of Seville's scene. With two great teams, Bétis and FC Sevilla, whose performances are followed religiously. Sevillians also look forward to the return of the bullfighting season, which begins with the feria.
To be booked
If you wish to attend a show at the Estadio de la Cartuja, it's best to book your tickets online. For bullfights, tickets can be purchased at the bullring box office or at the offices of the Empresa Pages, which runs the bullring. You'll need to book well in advance for bullfights during the feria. Thursday evening novilladas, on the other hand, are more affordable, especially in summer.
